::::::::: A vintage Reader’s Digest Book turned book safe
This 1980’s Reader’s Digest features a red jean/ denim cover, trimmed and bound in navy blue binding. Beautifully hand crafted, this vintage book features an illustration of Quasimodo, the Hunchback of Notre Dame (a classic novel by Victor Hugo), which lines the inside of this spacious hollow book. In signature Upbound style, I added a matching tassel and a custom dyed elastic cord that will keep your belongings secure and safe. This book easily hides among other books and can conceal your thoughts, notes, money or other important keepsakes.

::::::::: Ornately painted set of books with a photo of Grace Kelly.
These books had a great life. Like most of the books I find, they had all the signs of being overly loved; damaged covers with sign of wear, missing pages, highlighting and being ripped or torn from their binding. Revived and upcycled into usefulness, I adorned the cover with textile gold trim, custom die cuts, faux-aged finishing nails and hardware corner trim. Completing the story, the last pages read have been clearly marked with a tasseled bookmark. Hand painted and sealed, this stacked set of 3 books feature a photo of the lovely Grace Kelly and her daughter, Princess Caroline.

Rescued from a charity thrift store, pages torn and books unreadable, I turned these lovely volumes into a custom planter made for an awesome couple that loves to travel!
Using an old map, I made a custom cover and added hardware corners, an ornate book plate (perfect for adding a photo) and circle tag. Following the mood, I choose succulents that added to the “destination” feel. Lastly I draped the holes in twine, added beach sand and a message in bottle charm to complete the story.
